The Most Amazing Sculptures In The World

The sculpture is an artistic form that has endured throughout the ages. History was witness to monuments in stone, bronze, and metal that had lasted hundreds of years. Painted works are inspiring, but they don’t last for centuries or longer when left to the ravages of the elements. Sculptures live through centuries due to the way it interacts with nature and the environment where it is placed.

In this video, a series of photographs feature majestic monuments, stunning sculptures, and artistic statues that are located around the world. According to the YouTube channel, these art pieces add color and emotion to the most boring areas of the cities. These sculptures help enhance, or at the very least, add interest to the areas where they are placed.

There are more than 70 statues presented in the video. Several were only temporary, while some might not be on permanent display. Some of them are pretty ordinary, but others are just eye-catching and conversation-provoking. Take a look below at some of the most creative sculptures and statues found throughout the globe.

1. Expansion by Paige Bradley is a work of bronze that depicts a woman’s figure in a cross-legged position with light emanating from cracks in her body. This impressive art project is presently located in Brooklyn but was conceived by Paige when she first moved to Manhattan in New York.

2. The Caring Hands by Eva Oertli and Beat Huber . The sculpture is cleverly placed under a tree in a park in Glarus. It sends a message of environmental responsibility and care. Coincidentally, Glarus is one of the two Swiss towns where direct democracy is still practiced – by raising a hand.
3. Popped Up by Ervin Loránth Hervé. This polystyrene sculpture depicts a giant man crawling out of the earth and is located at Széchenyi Square in Budapest, Hungary. It was featured at the Art Market Budapest 2014 international contemporary art fair.

4. The Black Ghost by Svajunas Jurkus and Sergejus Plotnikovas. This 2.4-meter statue is found in Klaipeda, Lithuania. It will remind you of the Dementor from the Harry Potter series. It features a hooded and robed ghostly figure climbing out of the murky water. According to Lithuanian legend, the black ghost of Klaipeda brings riches and good fortune if you befriend him.

5. Mustangs by Robert Glen. These bronze sculptures of nine wild mustangs decorate the Williams Square in Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. It was commissioned to commemorate the importance of the wild mustangs as inhabitants of much of Texas.

6. The Rain Man by Jean-Michel Folon. The very talented Belgian artist designed the bronze figure of a man being rained on from underneath the umbrella he is holding. The sculpture is located on a roundabout near the Varlungo Bridge in Florence, Italy.

7. Vicissitudes by Jason DeCaires Taylor. The underwater sculptures are part of the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park which is found in Grenada. They were created as a foundation for a new coral reef to grow on. Jason is not only an artist but is also an underwater photographer and marine conservationist.

8. Sinking Building Outside State Library. The local council of Victoria, Melbourne commissioned this piece of art as part of the city’s art program. This unusual sculpture deals with the old college lore about failed architectural design.

9. God of War Statue by Han Menlin. Locally known as Guan Yu, this 1,320-ton sculpture was unveiled in 2016 in Jiangzhou city in China. It features Guan Yu, a famous general in Chinese history who was later deified.

10. Les Voyageurs by Bruno Catalano. This series of surrealist sculptures is installed in the streets of Marseille for the European Capital of Culture 2013. The statues evoke memories and things that traveler leaves behind.

Lost Ways Of Survival Video

An amazing discovery in an abandoned house in Austin, Texas: A lost book of amazing survival knowledge, believed to have been long vanished to history, has been found in a dusty drawer in the house which belonged to a guy named Claude Davis.

Remember... back in those days, there was no electricity... no refrigerators... no law enforcement... and certainly no grocery store or supermarkets... Some of these exceptional skills are hundreds of years of old and they were learned the hard way by the early pioneers.

We've lost to history so much survival knowledge that we've become clueless compared to what our great grandfathers did or built on a daily basis to sustain their families.

Neighbors said that for the last couple of years Claude has tried to unearth and learn the forgotten ways of our great-grandparents and claimed to have found a secret of gargantuan proportions.
